Parking fee rip off
The only problem with hotel is charging a $20 parking charge for their parking lot. I parked directly across the street free. This hotel is near a residential area with ample street parking. To act like this hotel is in a congested city is a rip off.

They don't make your bed so I'm not sure if that's how they roll, but the staff is awesome. Continental beakfast is pretty good as well. A lot of neighbor noise from nearby rooms, but I guess that's nornal. Sounds like kids having a WWF match, but it didn't affects my sleep. The beds nice and soft and the AC is cold, it's a very comfortable stay.

Unfortunately this stay was not ideal. The outlets did not work in our room at all and we were woken up around 8 AM by someone doing room checks? Not room service but just checking the rooms. Also my car was broken into over night. We will not be staying here again.

Upset abouy the fee for parking.
I enjoyed the stay. I was very upset about the additional fee of $20.00 for parking. The cost of the room was expensive enough.I travel all of the time , all over the world. I wont stay there again for that reason.

Only 2 complaints. the $20 parking fee (that doesn’t include any security or weather protection… they charge just to park in their own lot. Also, the pool area was pretty grungy. Neighborhood was meh… but only a 4 min drive to Children’s Mercy-the reason for our stay.

We were driving in from CO, called the hotel to let them know we would arrive between 2a-3a. At first, they said if someone else checked in & they needed our room, we would lose it. We had paid in full with Hotels.com. After some going back & forth for a few minutes, we finally worked it out & our room was secured. The hotel is older & needs a few more updates. But it is in a good location, the bed & pillows were comfortable, great water pressure, they provide body wash, shampoo & conditioner in the shower (which didn’t smell good to me, so I didnt use) makeup removers & lotion. The room & linens were clean & the hotel smelled good overall. The breakfast was good, lots of options. However, the cook was a bit rude & snippy with other guests, raising her voice & saying "I'm only ONE person!!!!!!" she seemed very stressed out. The other kitchen lady was very kind & apologized for her coworker & for the delay of food. I would say we would stay again, but the $20 per night for parking is a bit excessive, so I doubt we will. We have never paid for parking at a hotel before this & I dont think we would be willing to do it again. It was a nice stay, but not worth an extra $40 on top of the price we paid for a room!
