I have enjoyed a pleasant and relaxing two night stay
The grounds/setting was very good though slightly noisy from the main road but tolerable
Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Meals were very nice and dining room relaxed.
Only two negative things though not serious, was a dog barking from 22.45 until 23.30 pm which did disturb my sleep which isn't usually good. Annoyed that some person didn't keep their dog in check.
Rooms were clean and comfortable but care needs to be done with dusting around switches, picture frames and lighting as dust was found in most areas
Fabulous stay with our dog. Large comfortable room wth a walk in shower and a bath. Food is lovely and thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Large very comfortable lounge with good wifi. Good local walks and scenery. It wasnt my first stay and wont be the last
A very enjoyable stay. It was lovely to be able to have our dog with us and feel welcome. We are in the restaurant the first night. There were limited choices especially for vegetarians but the food was high quality. Breakfast had a good range of choice and everything was lovely. I couldn’t get the WiFi to work in the bedroom. The view from the room was gorgeous. The hallways are a bit dark and gloomy but the room was light and comfortable. Some good walks straight from the hotel.
This hotel is fantastic! A beautiful place in stunning surroundings yet it felt like home from home.
We took our disabled dog with us and they couldn’t have been more helpful.
There are no restrictions as to where your furry friend can go which makes life so easy and they even give them a sausage at breakfast.
I have to say what stood out the most were the staff, they were friendly, warm and so helpful and accommodating. Fabulous team.
Can’t wait to come back!
We loved our stay here. Such a beautiful place. Was pleasantly surprised at how good the restaurant was. Sticky pudding was the best we've had in the UK. Fish and Chips were amazing. Such a wonderful area. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.
A genuinely delightful find in the Northern English Lakeland. A really comfortable and 'warm' stay. Food was first class and the room is charming.
We will be back !
Excellent Stay in the lakes. Good Location and Friendly Relaxed atmosphere.
Great Staff and Excellent Breakfast. Had a Meal in the evening and Food was Great.
Top Hotel for Dog Lovers !.
Absolutely loved everything about Ravenstone Manor. The room was large with a gorgeous shower room and beautiful decor. The bar and restaurant are light, airy and tastefully decorated. The garden and patio area are great to enjoy the views and the food both for evening meal and breakfast were wonderful. A warm outside dog wash, dog towels and dog treats were a nice touch. Another nice touch is the games, jigsaws and books to enjoy in the lounge round the open fires. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. There are woodland walks 2 minutes from the door. Well done, would definitely return.
What a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. This is a genuine dog friendly hotel! Staff were brilliant, very welcoming, friendly and made us and our dog feel right at home. Breakfast was very good as was the dinner menu. Will be back!
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, well appointed room. Lovely walk to bassenthwaite lake. We ate at the Stable bistro which served very good food and wine. For once a hotel that offered very good wine at reasonable prices, not the general over priced average wines you are normally offered in most hotels these days.
