Very convenient for bus and trains, however the hotel is very old. Make sure to bring a travel adapter as there is no USB ports and only accepts adapter for Japan.

We had a twin bedroom. Two beds were put together and each is a double size. This makes the sleeping area ultra spacious. The decoration in the bathroom is a bit run down and old. Good to have an upgrade. The shower head spray pattern was not adjustable, gave only a strong column of water jet in the middle. Good to have more options for spray pattern. The shower head rest/holder is fixed. Good to have one that is adjustable. The hotel was difficult to find the first time as Kyoto main station is huge and no indication which exit to use. Good to have better signage or a clearer direction provided by the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent, both Kyoto station and the bus station are only a few minutes walk away. Sound insulation in the room is excellent and the room was quiet. Did not try any restaurants within the hotel as there are so many options elsewhere. Some restaurants within 10 minutes walk from the hotel that we had tried were very good. There is no English TV channel like BBC provided. It would be welcoming if this is made available for English speaking residents.

I had been to kyoto many times but this is the first time to stay in this hotel. The location is excellent, right across from the Kyoto train/bus stations. There is an underground entrance to dining, shopping and train station. However, the hotel rooms are a kind of small and old, no USB outlets. Our room was facing east and the morning sun made the room extremely hot and stuffy. The air conditioner didn’t seem to work. I was told by the front desk that the heater had been turned on in November. The window was locked and unable to open. It was uncomfortable to sleep in the heat. We asked for a fan. The staff were helpful and courteous.

I had been to Kyoto many times but this was the first time staying in this hotel. The location is excellent, which is right across from the train and bus stations. There is an entrance right outside the hotel to the underground shopping, dining portal and to the train station. However, the room is a kind of small and old, no USB outlets. Our room was facing east with the sun shining all morning, and extremely hot and stuffy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. However I do think the walls are a bit thin I could hear everytime someone was running or closing/opening drawers.
