I appreciated the hotel’s responsiveness when I expressed my initial concerns about being assigned to the ground floor. The front desk promptly arranged a move to the fifth floor, which I found to be very accommodating. After spending a few days there, I discovered that we were conveniently located within walking distance of many of the sightseeing spots we wanted to explore. This central location certainly enhanced our overall experience.

Excellent and relaxing base to explore Kyoto. Nice art and design throughout the property. Concierge Fabiana was helpful with booking memorable sukiyaki dinner. Breakfast buffet was mediocre but plenty of food options nearby. Recommend.

Beautiful Interior
Beautiful lobby and lovely decor in the rooms. We didn't have a view (there was another building a few feet away) but it didn't really matter. Great bathroom thoughtfully stocked and great shower (no tub). Nice buffet at breakfast, and the cookies we bought at the bar were tasty, too. Convenient location to shops and restaurants, although I might stay on the other side of the river if I were to come back.

This is the best hotel in Kyoto. The rooms are up to date, the hotel is modern, and the architecture is amazing. There is a full gymnasium, which is a plus for me. The bed is very comfortable. It is a few minutes' walk into the main street, and it is a two-minute walk to the train station. The rooms are done beautifully and the reception staff is overly helpful and accommodating. You will not regret booking this hotel.

Staff (Tomiko, especially)was so nice, helpful and respectful. What stood out is their flexibility to provide us a "to go" breakfast for one of the days that we couldn't be at the dining area due to an earlier excursion. Hotel is so conveniently located to downtown, Gion district, Kyoto station, etc. I just don't like that our room didn’t have any windows to see the outside. I felt claustrophobic.

Tranquil. Hotel interior was lovely, with a bamboo grove in the atrium. Breakfast was great with western and japanese options. Our suite was well laid out. The location is close to the river and some of the main restaurant streets and a 10 min walk from the kawaramachi area . it’s next to the Sanjo subway and train station so a good place to catch trains for sightseeing. The block and area around the hotel are nondescript. But it wasn’t far to walk to very interesting places. We are both under 6 ft. Tall people might feel the ceiling height in the hallways to be short
