The check in could be smoother and less DIY. You need an access code to get in the hotel - which I didn’t, but I was lucky there was someone in the reception. The metro is about 12min walk and there aren’t many restaurants nearby. The room was nice and spacious, comfortable bed, internet and ac worked well, shower with good water pressure. There was a somewhat unpleasant smell (kind like sewage) in the room and that was annoying but not enough to ruin the stay. The staff doesn’t speak much English but everyone was so nice and helpful- like pretty much everyone else in Japan.

This is a self check in service. We didn't see any staff during our 5 day stay. Very impersonal and dry experience. Otherwise clean, practical hotel.

Spacious, coded key locks, and property is relative new. Has a free laundry machine in the bath area. Located within walking distance from most of temples. But staffs were not much visible. They only clean room on 4th day. I booked the room for 4 days and 3 nights. So they never came to clean the room. My trash can filled up.

Modern and clean apartment with lots of amenities. We loved the tatami room that we could use for lounging and futons we could sleep on at night. All the beds and futon were extremely comfortable and the rooms were quiet. We had a nice and quiet rest every night.

Great location and spacious unit, with separate hallway that has a shower room, a toilet room and a washer/ dryer. Walkable to many great areas/restaurants/train station. Our room had two twin beds and three futon. I would suggest 5 max in this configuration

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The superior doible room with tatami mats was quite possibly the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The location was impeccable, the staff helpful, check in and out were easy and the room itself was gorgeous. Highly recommend staying here and will likely be returning if I get the chance to come back to Kyoto again!
