Holiday in Kyoto
The hotel rooms were the biggest we stayed in when we were in Japan and the staff were very helpful. The buffet breakfast was also excellent. The only downside was the location, which is a bit of a trek from the city centre.

Great Hotel with Big Rooms
The rooms were huge even by European standards, which was a very pleasant surprise. The breakfasts were excellent and the hotel was overall very good.
My only criticism would be that the area is a little out of the way, but there are trains taking you to the centre of Kyoto and even Osaka nearby.

highly recommended
The hotel is close to transport (railway and bus are only 300 metres away). The room was clean, the breakfast was lovely and filling, the staff friendly and spoke English. On arrival, I was given a Kyoto tourist and bus map, as well as a information on how to get to some of the popular tourist attractions.
My only criticism is the lack of a laundry, although a same-day laundry serviced was available.

Beside Saiin train station.
Please note at this time of writing, the club map point this hotel to a wrong location so I got lost trying to search for this hotel.
Tip: just search the hotel name and you should get to the location pretty easily .( I hope the club site update their map with regards to this)
Otherwise I really enjoy my stay at this hotel. Do note that like most hotel properties in Japan , the swimming pool is not free. Good location , good service. Will stay again.

Well situated
This was our second visit. The location is very convenient for sightseeing, Kyoto is a very spread out city and the hotel quite central. City buses and a train station are metres from front door.
Room was large and spacious 2 semi double beds with a small lounge.
Staff very helpful with good english. Buffet breakfast was very nice.
We had a very pleasant stay.
Late check out was a godsend.

Average hotel with average staff. Not very friendly or helpful. Poor english. Rooms are small and old. Continental and Asian breakfast, just enough. Not to much or less.
Subway just around the corner but didn't used it. Buy a day ticket for the bus at the hotel and that its gonna bring you to all sightseeing spots in town. After 11pm no more buses came our way.
Will not recommend in the future. Next time in Kyoto will search for another hotel.

Average hotel. Room was small with two single beds. Bathroom was old, needs some freshness. Spa using included in hotel rate. If willing to use the gym and swimming pool an additional fee is asked. Staff wasn't really helpful or friendly.
Western and Japanese breakfast. Very limited.
Located next to subway station that we didn't used. When in Kyoto best option is the bus day ticket.

Super clean and functional
Central enough location being on one of the major bus lines.
7-11 across the road for grabbing everything you need
Great western & eastern breakfast in the restaurant/cafe
Huge bed, great clean room - softest pillows I had in all Japan

At first, the room (in my case, double bed room) is roomy, especially the bathroom is spacy (as you know, average Japanese Hotel rooms are equipped with very small restrooms). Second, the breakfast is admirable. Not only Western dishes but various typical Japanese foods are also served. Third, the parking lot is large enogh to accomodate our SUV (Audi Q3 size). From those reasons this hotel is highly recommendable!
