Room was always kept clean and full of amenities (including a fully serviced bar). The restaurant options are great. The 2 main buffet areas always had plenty of choices for breakfast or dinner. Mexican food was the main cuisine of course. There are 6 a la carte dinner restaurants as well (gourmet, sushi, Italian, American, steak and Mexican). All of them pretty good choices. I would put the Mexican and the gourmet at the top. Steak one is good as well but think of it as Mexican style. The hotel also has bars distributed all over the property. There’s only one type of beer but mixed drinks are plentiful. There is an evening show every day as well.. if you are into partying, there’s a thematic pool party 4 times a week (Riu Party). If you prefer to relax or take a tour you can find plenty of those too.

So your property had a party vibe, which was great however, my husband and I were looking for a location to relax, and this just was not feasible with the amount of noise and partying going on. The food could have been better often times.

property is great. It has everything for a nice & relax vacation. Streets to get there are in bad shape. I suggest to at least put dirt on potholes on the road to make it smoother.

We’ve stayed here for the past 6 years and this year was very disappointing. Staff at bars/swim bars ignored us numerous times. Waited way too long to get drinks. Someone stole mine and my husbands shoes from the pool. If was anywhere close to closing time at the buffet they just let the food run out. Sports bar is suppose to have food 24th and it always ran out by midafternoon, so if it was late and all the restaurants/buffet are closed, you have to starve. It use to never be like this. A couple across the hall from our room got into a physical altercation in the hallway right outside our room. Security came but allowed them to stay and they continued arguing/screaming/slamming their room door all night. They should kicked Them off from property.

Rooms were dirty when we arrived. Staff wasn’t as friendly as other Riu hotels we have visited. Lots of walking at this resort!!

I visited the RIU for four days 9/9 through 9/12 Everything was great! The food was really good at Baha California located in the front of the resort. Just find what you like. I appreciate the staff for the shuttle ride to the airport. Thanks!!
