The property and staff were great! It was just a bit loud at night, due to some weddings and concerts. But it was the perfect location for everything we needed and close to family! We would most definitely stay there again and again!

Overall experience was mediocre - after booking the hotel we got an automated welcome email from the hotel asking if we want to book the table for the dinner and other special requests; we emailed back the preferred time for the dinner also requested if we can use the swimming pool after arrival. We didn't get any response, but we were pretty sure that they received it and have us in mind. After arrival and checking in we were told that there is no swimming pool in the hotel (they have it only in Cork hotel), also the table wasn't reserved for us. Kids were extremely disappointed regarding the swimming pool and if we would have received the email from them on time advising us that the swimming pool is in the different hotel we would definitely not be choosing Loughrea Hotel and Spa and choosing the one more suitable for the children. The room was damp and the window was not opening, no balcony, no terrace, no window. All night we had an air conditioner on the lowest temperature and at the highest speed but it didn't make much of a difference, it was still very damp and no fresh air (we love sleeping with a bit of window open for the fresh air, but as the window was not opening we couldn't have that option). Breakfast was very poor, dried eggs, extremely dry black and white pudding, not a good quality sausages and bacon. Would we come back? No, thank you. For the price we've paid there are more luxury and comfortable hotels with tons of activities for the kids.

We had a great stay! The property is in perfect conditions and service was super friendly, from the reception to the restaurants. We loved having the opportunity to have a late dinner, as we arrived quite late. It was all delicious and we had plenty of options to choose from. Thanks for your hospitality!

We stayed in a deluxe family room for 2 nights. The room was very spacious and was very clean. There were 4 water bottles and 4 towels each supplied. The restaurant in the hotel is good and the staff is very helpful too. Highly recommended

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was pretty and the hotel was in good shape. We had a wonderful sleep and everything was comfortable We found our food and service in the restaurant was just “ok”. Pretty average. And we spent money to use the spa facilities. But felt it was overpriced for what you get. But overall a nice stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We loved this hotel, bed was very comfortable, room was huge and had plenty of space for three of us and our luggage, the spa was a treat and needed, but could have small improvements to make better: for example keys in the foot bath, scents in the shower or steam room, and massages in the chairs but overall was a treat (there were no times for services while we were there, so book ahead). Parking was clearly explained on the site and easy, food and bar were great and their communication was excellent prior to arrival!

Stayed here many times, and this tiem remembered to ask for a balcony. No problem to the front desk. Tvs are large, with netflix and the burger was Fab.

Excellent - so we booked a return stay
I asked for a quiet room, at the back, away from the lifts. Many hotels don’t bother even trying to facilitate such requests. But not here. We got exactly what we requested and we got a great night's sleep. In fact the lifts are well away from the bedrooms, a nice design feature. The room was big. Two armchairs. Comfortable bed. Everywhere spotless. (Small niggle: no fridge or safe in the room). Staff are exceptional - reception, bar and breakfast room. Excellent breakfast. We had a lovely dinner in the bar. It was busy, but very comfortable. When we were checking out we booked a room for next month. Looking forward to it.

An OK mid-range hotel. Beds were comfortable, and the windows can open for fresh air which is welcome and not always the case. Parking is very convenient, and it is only a short motorway drive to Galway city. On the other hand, organization at reception was a little haphazard (e.g. our dinner reservation was lost); breakfast was rather uninspiring, and our room and nearby corridors smelled stale.
