Just stayed one night, was given a room that is designed to accommodate wheelchair access, so spacious and with a big bathroom. Enjoyed the nachos with chilli, and the beef and ale pie which were excellent, as was the cooked breakfast. Good choice of local ales at the bar. All in all very comfortable and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The staff were very helpful. Food ok. Just a bit tired.
Absolutely cracking hotel and bar. A beautiful little Inn in the middle of nowhere. Staff were fantastic... Food was great and the drinks were cold and well priced. Definitely worth a nights stay!!
I would not recommend staying here if you have another option, as it is poorly managed. There is no management on site and on the first morning the downstairs area of the inn was locked up. The chef could not get into the kitchen and the guests could not get into the dining area. We waited for an hour before someone turned up with some keys and we finally got some breakfast. And no one even apologised or asked how our stay had been. I won't be coming back.
Lovely pub.. only stayed one night but had a lovely relaxing evening accompanied by great food and drink. Breakfast was really nice too.
Need a car as there’s not much in the area but a great base for walkers.

Average accommodation but close to Wastwater
This rather tired inn does the basics well. it’s clean enough and serves a basic but fulsome breakfast and offers a decent range of drinks and standard pub grub. The rooms are a bit tired but clean and comfortable. it’s about a 10 min drive to Wast water and a fantastic choice of Wainright hills.
Special place to stay in a stunning location.
Plenty space to park up, and easy going accommodation that can be accessed even when I arrive late after work.
Really enjoyed my nights stay here. Staff very welcoming and friendly. I couldn’t make breakfast so they made me a packed lunch for the day. Really nice of them, the bed was comfy and the shower great . I would recommend staying here.
Friendly owner and staff , nothing was a problem for them . After a busy night in Blackpool we stopped here for the night on our way back to Edinburgh.
We were looking for some peace and quiet and that’s exactly what we got in the most tranquil location.
Check in was not until 4pm but we arrived around mid day for a bit lunch .
Owner said it would be fine to book in around 2ish and gave us some ideas on what to look at in the area for a few hours.
Soup of the day for lunch with home made bread was excellent and steak and ale pie for dinner was the best I’ve had and to wash it down with a pint of Lilly’s ruhbarb cider 🍺 .
Breakfast is included with your stay and they had everything on offer and I mean everything.
The full English is just what you need to get your day started.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
