Good but hard to find shuttle service; the hotel website says it picks up at all terminals and the train station but there are no instructions or directions for the train station pick up. I called reception and they were very nice and sent a bus.i was told to follow the signs for the taxi rank but there were none. The shuttle service driver was excellent. We were given a room by the lift and they changed this when we asked. The second room was clean but freezing cold as someone had left the window ajar. Sneaky smoker, perhaps? It heated up quickly and room was clean and tastefully decorated. The bedding was high quality and the mattress was excellent Dinner options at The Grille restaurant were phenomenal; cooked to a high standard and served piping hot. I heard someone at the next table complain about the music which, to be fair, sounded like it had been chosen by someone who knew jazz was a sophisticated soundtrack but did not know anything about jazz. Up tempo experimental improv is not the best accompaniment for fine dining! The wait staff were polite and friendly. Management would do well to instruct staff to check back on tables as they did miss out on some drink sales from our party; one of us ordered the pork belly but despite the waitstaff telling us that it would take a while (it did and was worth it) nobody came back to check on us. This is my second time to stay here and first post pandemic.Overall, quality stay, but service is NFE (Normal for England).

The lack of being able to buy a Continental breakfast is a minus. Not everyone wants a full English breakfast and £17.50 is rather excessive if one only wants a danish pastry and a cup of coffee.

Bus driver was excellent
Check in was slow even though I’d done it online. The best thing was a good nights sleep before travelling on the next day. Also breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. There was transportation to the air terminal and the bus driver was excellent!! The bus even had a ramp so no lifting of cases etc

Fine for a stopover
Was difficult to navigate to with a few cases .had to walk down poorly lit mucky paths .there may have been a pickup service but was not made aware of it . There was a drop of back to the airport in the morning which was fine . Room was small but clean .it was fine for what it was but expensive for a nights stay which is the hotels target clientell
