We stayed here as a staycation for New Years as we were headed to a party nearby. The location is great, very walkable right on Ocean drive and direct to the beach. Beach towels and chairs on the beach are included, and it was a plus a decent breakfast was part of our package, so it had all we needed! Upon arrival the staff was friendly. The lobby is pretty with deep green and gold deco and art deco fixtures. It's a boutique hotel, so the rooms are smaller but tastefully decorated, shower is clean, and comfy beds. We stayed on the 1st floor, which I read on the other reviews the first floor can be noisy, understandable since it's an older building and the doors have a little gap. It wasn't a dealbreaker as we were there for New Years. We just placed a towel on the base of the door and that buffered most of the foot traffic noise - I'd recommend the hotel maybe provide a door gap buffer as an easy solution. But overall a great stay!

Excellent location and great hotel. Couple of reasons for dinging the star since this was $400 room. We were on the third floor with what appeared to be HVAC equipment upstairs. Not an issue with the hum it produced. Bigger issue was it clicked randomly like a secretary on a typewriter, and rather loudly all night. Also, elevator was out so 6 flights of stairs each time we went out. And beach towels were ou the only time we needed them. All the negatives aside, the restaurant in front is great. Location is perfect since you can walk to the beach. And the hotel is quaint and nicely old world. All in all I recommend it, since you are hopefully not likely to face the negatives I faced.

Cute hotel in a bustling area in South Beach. The hotel is dated, so things like heating / AC didn't work. Additionally the hot water on the sink did not turn on. I am an Expedia VIP and did not receive my bottle of wine until I went back and asked for it. The free breakfast was cold, but kept us full until lunch time. No hotel parking, but there is a parking garage very close by. Tldr: stay here for a cute hotel in a very walkable area of south beach. Don't expect too much in the way of modern amenities. I would stay again if the price was agreeable.

Amazing property with the classic Art Deco design. The breakfast, included in our stay, was fresh and delicious every morning. Great beach front property with many restaurants and shops that are located within walking distance.

It was a very good hotel, super clean and location was great. If possible don't be on the first floor as it could be loud as the restaurant is cleaning up or setting up. Other than that it was great.

this hotel is in a great area close to tons of restaurants & things to do. it’s historic & beautiful & i’m sure other rooms are better, however our room was right off the lobby & you could hear EVERYTHING all night long. the elevator was also right next to our room, & since it’s a very old hotel, the elevator rocks the room & screeches. we don’t fault the hotel - they were very full & we booked last minute. the employee who checked us in was very sweet, & they offer free coffee, breakfast, snacks. i wouldn’t stay again just bc i need quiet to sleep, but it is pretty & highly convenient.

Location was excellent. Servers were very friendly. Front desk seemed hectic, tried calling several times as location was hard to find, there was no answer. Need to ask for vouchers for breakfast, which was very good. Used towels (also front desk) and chair service at 15th st. Room was comfortable. Would stay again.
