Character and charm
A truly remarkable property, and one of our favourites ever. The house has such character and charm, with a real feeling of peace and tranquillity, despite being only a short drive from Mittagong or the freeway. This makes it incredibly convenient, while still feeling as though you are really escaping to the country. The house has all the amenities we required, and being both pet and child friendly was a real bonus.

Family Weekend at Aylmerton
The house was lovely. The garden was clearly once a beautiful garden, but has been let go. The house was very well furnished with an abundance of kitchenware/ china/cutlery etc. it is a pity the main bathroom does not have a shower as this would have helped a lot with everyone getting ready.

Beautiful property.
Easy communication with the property managers who allowed early and late check in/out. The property is really nicely decorated and the beds are really comfortable. The place was very tidy and it is clean but it needs a deep clean as there was dust under furniture and on the skirtings. It is very quiet and close to coffee shops etc. Would definitely stay again.

Celebrating Mum’s 70th
12 family members stayed at Aylmerton House over the weekend to celebrate my Mum’s surprise 70th Birthday. Plenty of room for all, with generous living areas and outdoor spaces to enjoy. The house served the purpose but we were all greatly disappointed with the cleanliness of the house, particularly the En-suite bathroom! Owing to the property’s age, the musty smells in some areas were quite apparent. Finger marks on the walls, cobwebs and dust galore. There’s nothing that cannot be fixed with a thorough hit of Domestos and some elbow grease! The expansive grounds also need significant TLC. Overall, the property looks and feels unloved. It’s such a shame because the house has so much potential.

Next-level and huge property
Such an amazing location, with beautiful grounds and plenty of space. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked so feeding 12 people was made easy. Lots of rooms for everyone to escape the heat in summer in the sandstone parts of the house. We did have to buy a fan to get through a few extreme days - I can imagine it's amazing in winter with all the fireplaces.
