Amazing location, lovely room and awesome food. Would be great for a weekend away. We would not have booked however if we had realised there was no onsite parking. Rainy weather for our stay did not help.

Absolutely outstanding exceeded expectations. Only downside was no parking offered as part of the room costs however I managed to park on the street as I was only in the hotel after 5 and before 9. Food and service in the hotel was also excellent

What an amazing little find… staff were beyond reproach when checking in. Friendly, warm & inviting. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff or the venue. Room was clean & tidy (bathroom was brilliant).

Last minute booking. Good location and friendly staff. Great room, with a comfortable bed and full bathroom that includes a full-sized separate shower. The pub downstairs made it easy to get a meal. The history of the building is well worth a read, and the decor is very interesting—recycled decanters as light shades.

The Lucky hotel is in a good location to explore the city of Newcastle. Very close to the river front walk and across the street from a light rail station which makes it easy to get to the main train station. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean. Tea and coffee are also provided in the room. The large bed was extremely comfortable. It was also easy to connect my devices to the TV. I ate one meal in the restaurant (fish and chips!) and it was excellent. Good choice of beer too. Some reviews mentioned the noise and yes, it's a busy weekend venue so take that in consideration. Although the noise did intrude into the room a bit, I did not find it a problem for me. If you require silence to sleep maybe this is not the place for you. On the other hand, if you like a lively and fun place, go for it.

It’s a nice place with tram at the doorstep and parking across the street. What I didn’t like was the beds they are terrible and we didn’t get a decent night sleep, we reserved a bigger room but it was really cramped, but the worst thing was the air quality, and without the ability to open a window I got up early just to get outside
