The first room we were given had a deadbolt that didn't line up with the doorframe. The second room required a pretty hefty shoulder shove to open the door after unlocking it. In fact, I couldn't do it; my taller, stronger son had to do that shove. TV barely had any reception, as it was blurry regardless of station. Coffee machine was broken this morning.

The only upside to this property was the amazing service of there front desk, and the amazing restaurants in the area. Half the rooms were actually falling apart, like the room next to ours that had some of the roof collapsed. The place smelled of mildew and had mold in the shower.

The door was difficult. Even though the keycard was programmed correctly, we had to kick the door to get it open. The bathroom door was disconnected from its bottom hinge with nails exposed. The shower drained extremely slowly so that you were standing in water while showering. There was a shoe print in the middle of the bedspread when we arrived.

Very Convenient, but Not a Great Hotel
The best thing about the Quality Inn Downtown Mobile is that it is walking distance to Dauphin St and surrounding attractions like the Saenger Theater. The folks who work there are very nice. The hotel itself is in terrible condition. The room had a door that did not close without applying a large amount of force and it took two tries to get the keys to work properly.

Put us in rm 211 , walked in and immediately smelled mold which was over the ac that didn’t work. Turned the light on in the bathroom and there was water covering the floor. We immediately went to the front desk to report it and get another room, now we’re in rm 116, it smells musky but the ax works. We were there for a concert so we knew we wouldn’t be in the room much . We left to get a bite to eat and go to the concert, returned to the room to get some sleep, the next morning we immediately left.

Didn't have the king rooms I booked, had to settle for doubles. Being a big person, that was unpleasant. AC was turned down to 51 when I entered the room. Floor easily accumulates water when stepping out of the shower. Walking up the stairs to my room, had a lovely view of a homeless person wading through the open dumpster.

The door to my room was unlocked with the door lock keeping it open, then the light switch didn’t turn on any lights, I walked back to the office and was told I would have to turn on a lamp for lights, the desk chair back was torn, the outdoor lighting was poor, I just couldn’t stay there. Thankfully the front desk clerk said she would refund my credit card and I found other lodging.

The hotel didnt look like the pictures. There was mold. The ice machine leaks, they had a dirty towel in front of it. The elevator was not cleaned and smelled horrible. The rooms were decent.

I did NOT stay it was that bad. The corridor leading to the elevator was dark, wet and smelled. The elevator itself was filthy with peeling paint that also littered the floor which was wet. The exterior corridor leading to the rooms were dark, wet and again smelly. The rooms were worse. Room 1 half the lights did not work, there was a half in pool of water on the floor coming from the bathroom and again smelly. Room 2 was not cleaned. Both beds were unmaid and clearly used.

There was no continental breakfast. The room had a dirty shower curtain. The cable on the TV did not work well. WI-FI was not accessible. There were full trash bags out everywhere. People were allowed in pool late into the night making it difficult to sleep.

The property looks great from the outside. However, the rooms are old, and they are run down. The doors to the rooms have gaps under them. You can only paint so much before you have to start up dating things. The property is very convenient to downtown.

Dirty and wet. Everything was damp, floor had huge puddles. Toilet seat didn't fit toilet. Breakfast was disappointing, only thing I wanted was juice and they had none. Pool was dirty and no bathroom near by so probably used as a toilet. I didn't even want my kids to shower at the hotel (should be called a motel). Extremely disappointed.

The place needs to be condemned and rebuilt. The shower did not drain, mold on the toilet, floors unclean. There was a smeared dead bug in the window which also hadn't been cleaned in years probably.
