Visually the place looks great, but the beds are not comfortable, the AC works when it wanted to, the breakfast buffet is limited based on other hotels and the kitchen staff is mean. Out of all the staff we encountered, there was just one person who was nice to us. Everyone else is always annoyed even before you approach them. The worst part was we had made an error with our arrival time. We thought we were arriving at 2:50PM, but in fact it was 2:50AM. On our way to the airport in Istanbul, I saw that there was room availability on Expedia, but I ran out of time to book it as I had to board the plane. When we arrived at Hera, the front desk said that there were rooms available but he couldn’t give them to us. We don’t know the reason why. We offered to pay, he still refused. He offered us to wait in the lobby all night. I had to sleep in the lobby. No dignity! It was humiliating!!! People were coming and going. After a late night flight, I was exhausted. We searched the surrounding area for other hotel rooms, but we were not sure how far they were as we would have to walk with all of our luggage in tow. This hotel needs training on customer care in my opinion.
