Love the property, so old and yet so modern. Housekeeping missed some cobwebs...no garbage can in the main room...tub needs an anti slip something....AND there are not enough parking spots for the amount of guests at the hotel!! It was our second time, the first time was beyond wonderful, however 2nd time not so much...sorry

The Great George is a unique boutique hotel, that really isn't a hotel at all but a collection of Victorian houses serviced by a main Pavillion. As such, your room is a room in a separate house, and you travel to the pavillion for reception, breakfast, and the common area lounge. The rooms are comfortable but as they are all on streets, you have to expect traffic noise, and lots of foot traffic around. It's in a very walkable area, with so many cafes, restaurants, shops, a theatre, the Arts center you will have lots to do while you are there. Very good staff, polite, professional very friendly and accommodating. The furniture is antique so expect some creaks but the mattress are the very best. I love that they have proper comfortable armchairs in the room and not those uncomfortable office chairs. The only way it could get better is if they had a power bar and a footstool in the room.

The Great George is a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Charlottetown. The room was nice and spacious. The most surprising feature was the heated bathroom floor. The complimentary breakfast was lovely, but the seating was not ideal. Parking is limited, but we were in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. A lovely, peaceful place to stay.

We stayed in room 165, a beautiful one bdrm suite w fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. It was beautiful in every way as we were on a 3 week road trip through eastern Canada. Staff is great. Breakfast was very nice. Very highly recommend!!

I always stay in boutique hotels because of their character and uniqueness. This hotel didn’t disappoint in that area. The lobby is comfortable and inviting and the staff were friendly and efficient. The free parking was convenient. Unfortunately my room was on the ground floor and on a corner so I couldn’t have my blinds up and I woke in the night with a lot of street noise. I have booked again but for a room on a higher level. My only suggestion in the room was that the amenities for tea and coffee in the room was minimal and I was disappointed that there were no glass coffee cups or glasses. I don’t enjoy drinking out of paper or plastic, especially in an upscale hotel. Also, the website said there was room service but there was no information in my room about that.
