There's a lot to like about this hotel. First, the hotel is unique, is fun to walk around and explore, and each room is unique. The coffee bar, water bottles, biscotti and tangerines were great to have available in the morning. Also, we liked the three hotel cats. The staff is friendly, and we had an especially great experience with John at the front desk. We were staying there when there was the terrorist attack on 1/1/25, and there was a lockdown; John helped ensure everyone was calm and helped make people comfortable. It's also easy to quickly get to many of the locations in the French Quarter that would be of interest. There were a couple of issues: during our stay, housekeeping didn't do anything with our room (except for replacing two washcloths with two dirty ones that may have been a mistake); our room had a lot of maintenance needs like the toilet kept running, faucet kept dripping, and other various small repairs/touchups needed on the walls and furniture; and our room was on the street so there was lots of noise at night (although that's probably to be expected).
