It was fabulous in general - the staff extremely helpful and personable. The gym was a bit lacking but fine for just a little wake up sweat! It was central enough and close to everything but still very quiet.

The front desk girls I've met were so friendly and willing to help. I also loved Jose's respectful service! He made me feel safe and helped me with my bags. I loved that there was room service everyday without having to ask and the shower was the best. The staff's attitude in my opinion is what can make or break a hotel experience for me.

Great boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan - right in the middle of the action. Room was spacious and quiet. Staff was very helpful. Would recommend for anyone wanting to stay in this part of NYC.

Good serviceable hotel. Older property but the rooms have been mostly updated. Watch out for the $35 a day “resort fee.” This is not a resort and has no amenities to speak of - just another add on fee that’s deceptive when you book the place.

Nice, but bring an eye mask and some white noise

Overall the Kixby was a nice stay for the price. The hotel is styled nicely, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the room was clean and the bed/pillows comfortable. Receiving a reusable water bottle during check in, and the water fill up station was a nice touch. The black tap restaurant outside of the lobby was real tasty with a great vibe. The reason I gave it a 4/5 was that the rooms really need black out curtains. The slated wood blinds hardly blocked any city light and I had to sleep with a shirt over my eyes. Also, we got the dreaded room right next to the elevator. (we booked the day before New Year’s Eve, so I’m sure this was one of the few rooms left) The noise coming from the hallway was excessive and we could hear the elevator every time it went up and down. Nothing crazy, we still slept good with some white noise and the in-room fan running, but the hotel could upgrade the sound proofing around the doors and windows. Overall good value for your money, and I would stay again if I could get a room away from the elevator.

Perfect Midtown stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Kixby for Christmas/20th wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. The room was very nice, mattress was comfortable as were the pillows and linens. The refillable water bottle/station was a nice touch. Staff was very friendly. The location was perfect for our needs. Right next to Herald Square, walkable to Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center, plus steps from a subway station. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood. Penn Station was a 10 minute walk so we took the train in/out from NJ, and did not need to worry about parking. Will definitely stay here again.
