TIRED
Hotel was clean, but very tired in places. The shower in our room was broken, the bathroom was very dated and very tired. Bed and pillows were comfy and clean
Little disappointed that we were given 1 double bed in each room rather than 2 single beds that i had booked. Unsure if this was bad communication between hotels.com and the hotel or the hotel just didn't have 2 singles available. Didn't bother saying as we made it work.
Property is a bit tired.
Paid extra for the breakfast. I wouldn’t waste the money. The breakfast was cold, everything was hard and overcooked. Poor quality
Second time staying here. Hotel is in a great location. Had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the river. Room was comfortable. We weren't told we were in an room with 2 adjoining doors - would have preferred not be. Also shower / bath could do with an upgrade. The shower curtain was not much use in stopping the floor getting soaking wet. Breakfast is self-service and was very tasty. Check in and check out were really straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay check in very quick. Great room overlooking the tyne ,very closed to lots of great restaurants and bars .hotel bar prices very reasonable

The hotel staff were very helpful at all times, the breakfast was very good with a good selection, the main meeting areas of the hotel were very good. The room that we stayed in let the hotel down and could really do with a modernisation and upgrade, beds were comfy but little things like plug sockets next to bed etc was missing. Overall the hotel was ok, food was good but rooms could do with an upgrade and TLC.
