Property renovation only.
People in the area was friendly.
On arrival beautiful room and en suite, except for puddle of water on carpet from window spoke to reception and was moved straight away no problems.
Will be returning in January with family for a reunion.
My stay was very pleasant, the reception woman working on Friday was very nice that booked us in. Also the the woman doing the breakfast was very nice and breakfast was really good. Also the other reception working was also nice, only negative thing is a man giving the receptionist a terrible time. swearing at her she did nothing wrong to the man, she was nice to him. Nobody should come to the work to get abused.
A large place, with excellent staff, good food and very clean. It is old fashioned, as in 1970s , and some areas would definately benefit from renovation. Overall, a pleasant stay in a lovely position near the seafront.
Friendly and helpful staff hotel needs updating but ok for the money I think the whole area is undergoing a refurbishment and the hotel owners need to follow suit and get this hotel back to how it was that said I would stay here again
My room was spacious and clean. 77. Pipes noisy EVERY flush, same from neighbouring rooms. But easily lived with. This hotel is definitely housing homeless people or migrants, or both. I have no qualms with this as they should have somewhere to stay, obviously. BUT the Windsor AND Hotels.com should be very much upfront with this. I must add though that there was absolutely no problem with our friends who do require shelter.
Really enjoyed my stay here as a gay couple we were made to feel welcomed . The staff were very friendly, wee took our dogs to the hotel and was very handy that they could also stay .
The hotel location was perfect , quite easy to find , would actually love to live and work here . Newcastle is such a great place . Would highly recommend visiting.
Absolutely not bad.
Old fashioned and kinda old big building with a good need of renovation, but it was very good to stay in there. Reception staff absolutely great! Was lovely to see the aurora boreal just a few steps from the hotel
The staff I met at The Windsor where excellent.Housekeeping ladies where lovely .
Front office folk where very helpful and caring .my room was of a good standard .
Only issue was with the bed a bit lumpy and the quilt a bit thin .on the whole I would stay again perhaps in a different room as my partner and I are planning a trip to.Newcastle in December.thankyou kind regards Barbara Trivett
Large room, large bathroom, unfortunately the lift was not working, and we were on the second floor! Great room though. Would have been nice to take breakfast to our room, as it was early serving and early finishing 7 - 9 we were on holiday after all!
