Situated in a quiet neighborhood just two miles from the center of North Conway (Kearsarge neighborhood), this house is convenient for all North Country activities: skiing, hiking, climbing, swimming, canoeing and outlet shopping. The North Conway area features attractions for the whole family including winter sports, golf, mini-golf, alpine and water slides, mountain biking, and scenic train rides, as well as fine dining, theater, and night life. Upstairs: kitchen, dining room (seats 8), living room with fireplace & flatscreen TV, DVR, DVD, VCR & CD player, large deck with gas grill, king bedroom and full bathroom.

Downstairs: living room with foosball table & flatscreen TV, PlayStation, VCR, and DVD, two queen bedrooms, one double bedroom, laundry and full bathroom. Our home is child friendly and includes a baby gate.

This house is situated on 1.5 private wooded acres. Outside there is a large driveway with plenty of parking and a basketball hoop. Please be aware that out house is strictly non smoking and no pets allowed.

Great vacation rental

Mountain retreat
Beautiful home hidden in the woods Deer in the yard birds singing. Just a nice quiet place to be. Everything you need from cooking supplies to plenty of towels and blankets. Felt like home!

New years eve family trip
This was a great trip to North Conway for new years eve weekend with the family. The rental was perfect for our party of 9. House was clean and cozy and you could tell the house has been loved by a caring family! It was like a rustic cabin in the woods. The gate at the top of the steps was perfect for the toddler! Fireplace was awesome! Only a fews minutes to Cranmore or to downtown. We will definitely plan to stay there again!

Great base for local hiking
Nice house to use as a base for local hiking. Close to lots of restaurants and shops, but able to get to hiking areas without going through the busy areas. House had everything needed to entertain and cook for a large group.

Very comfortable chateau style spot for a family ski trip!
We really enjoyed the two level home, which was clean and very comfortable. It was slightly dated, but who cares? It was perfect for us on a snowy fun-filled weekend away for some skiing. Our kids had a blast with the foosball table and we hooked up a video game system to the downstairs TV so they had their own space to hang out. Upstairs the parents played cribbage around the dining room table and enjoyed our evenings when we weren't enjoying the many nearby restaurants for a bite. Super close to downtown North Conway and Cranmore where we skied for two days. Only a short drive to Jackson too where we enjoyed ice skating and dinner one night. It was perfect, thank you Jo Ann and Frederick for sharing your wonderful spot with us! We'll definitely stay again if given the opportunity!

Absolutely Loved This Rental
Overall, this rental was everything and more that the listing described. I had the chance to chat with the owner at one point who went out of her way on multiple occasions to make sure we knew all the details about getting to and into the property. They even left us a bottle of wine and some coffee which we thought was the nicest gesture. We've been staying in the area every year for a while now, but this has been our favorite spot so far and 100% would stay there again and recommend it to others as well. Literally cannot say enough about how happy we were with this rental. Huge shout out to the owners!!

Over the River and through the woods!
We so enjoyed our visit! Lovely location and super easy to get to ski areas. We had a glorious snow storm on arrival which was great for early in the season. Hosts were so friendly and great communication. The house is vintage, cute and so comfy. The fireplace was awesome to have each night. And bonus - decorated for Christmas!! We would definitely rent again!

Great woodland house minutes from centre of North Conway
This is an excellent superbly equipped woodland house with everything you need. The owners Jo Ann and Fred were a delight with wonderful communication. The location is great just a few minutes from the shops and restaurants of Nirth Conway. For us the drives up to Mt Cannon and the Kancamagus Highway were the highlight hitting peak ‘Tree peeping’ in bright sunshine. We would highly recommend staying here

Amazing stay

Quiet, close to attractions
Very humble and quiet stay. We enjoyed the AC, many bedrooms and 2 baths. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. Enjoyed the closeness of Diana's bath, hiking, Jackson falls,etc, as well as famous Zebs!

Great experience! The location is perfect, real close to downtown. Great fireplace keeps you warm too. House could use some updating, but that's part of its charm. And the owners were so easy to communicate with.. Highly recommended!

"Non-Cruise" friends weekend away
When we cancelled the cruise and had time off with no plans, we had a short period of time to find a North Conway home to plan a Friends/Couple weekend. We found this nice Chalet in the woods. JoAnn was so great getting in touch with me and giving me lots of info about the home and the area. There were 4 couples and we had a great time! Plenty of room for us, loved the wood burning fireplace and the home was very clean! Joann also responded very quickly when we had questions.

Home away from home
This is our second time staying at the Wood Chalet. Last year we stayed with friends who had rented and this year we rented for a birthday getaway. From the moment you arrive you feel right at home. Fred & JoAnn were absolutely wonderful! The home was immaculate and the views upstairs are just beautiful. Sitting by the fire every night will never get old. Looking forward to our next stay. There’s just something about NH!

House was a perfect size...we had 7 adults in our group and it was perfect. LOVE the kitchen counter space and LOVE that there is a fridge with an icemaker. House was clean and just perfect for us.
