We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and can easily say we’d return in a heartbeat! The staff are all wonderful and all spoke multiple languages, making it very fun watching them speak to all the different people in the dining room with ease. Our room was fantastic, it was cleaned daily and fresh towels/beds made, even complimentary bottles of shampoo and conditioner were replaced when we used them. There is a lounge with a coffee machine in (it was out of order but they fixed it really quickly) and a coffee machine in the room too! The breakfasts were incredible, anything you could think of, they had. It was the highlight of the stay, for sure! Overall it was awesome and we’d definitely stay again if we’re ever in Oslo again.

Thon Rosenkrantz is a beautiful hotel which has been recently updated. Close to parliament and the Royal Palace. It’s about a 15 minute walk of the train station and 20 minutes to the waterfront and opera house

Wonderful Hotel
This hotel was a gem of a find. Right in the heart of things with even tram service just a minute away. Everyone working there was happy and helpful, and you felt that they really appreciated your staying with them. And the breakfast!!!! A special shout out to Stean and Pete at the desk who ember above and beyond to help us with restaurants, taxi, etc.

The hotel was in a great location with easy access to the tram and a variety of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The room size was comparable to other city hotels and was very well sound proofed and has good amenities. The breakfast was one of the best we have had with options to cater for all tastes. The staff were attentive and helpful.

Room was incredibly small and dated. Shower flooded the bathroom every time we used it. Very hot in room and no way to cool it. We were given a fan. Breakfast was fantastic! Staff was helpful! Location very good.

Wonderful hotel and restaurant!
The restaurant at this hotel serve the best breakfast we had throughout our entire tour of both Norway and the UK! The room was nice and we loved the lounge as well. A very nice day. The only thing I could say that I wish was different, was that you had parking.

Hotel was in a great location right near Parliament. Everywhere was within walking distance but there's also a tram stop right by the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic - the best we had out of the three Thon hotels that we stayed in on our trip to Norway. The staff made this hotel though! Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were fantastic. And it smells lovely in reception! Fantastic bar called Røør (loads of beers on tap) on same road and fabulous restaurant called Elias Mat & Sant just around the corner.

Hotel has very helpful staff, cozy but very comfortable rooms, and an outstanding breakfast buffet. Good value for the money. Only negative was a bit of nickel-and-diming (i.e. had to pay NK30 to use an umbrella, NK100 to use wireless device charger).

The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are clean and staff is super friendly and efficient. Breakfast is delicious. Unfortunately, there is a bar across the street from the hotel that rages on until 4 am every day, worst is on Saturday night. Unless you are guaranteed a room above the 4th floor away from the street, you'll hear the noise all night long. Makes getting over jetlag super difficult.

Overall this is a good property- the receptionists are professional and friendly, the room is quite spacious and well-maintained, the amenities are decent and the breakfast is good with decent options. That said, it would benefit from having a room service option especially seeing as Oslo is a city that sleeps relatively early, and the internet connection wasn’t the best.
