We enjoyed our stay. The food at each restaurant and buffet was plentiful and what we had delicious. The beach is stunning! Enjoy a massage if you can! The staff makes this resort wonderful.

The staff and facilities were fantastic. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The beach was wonderful with easy access to the water. Waves and water temperature were perfect. Unfortunately the "mini" bar in the room was only stocked with 2 beer- no other alcohol was supplied in the room. It was difficult to get a lounge chair at the beach unless you went down at 7:30 am to settle in for the day. Leaving your things on the lounges to reserve for later in the day was frowned upon.

We had a great vacation at the Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar. The hotel grounds is lovely with lots of wildlife including beautiful peacocks. The beach was picturesque and very clean as well as safe although the waves were a bit rough. But it was fun. There were many different options of places to eat and the most of the food was great.

Overall, it had similar qualities as you would see in most big resorts, particularly cleanliness, and service. However, I felt the food was just mediocre at the buffets, and the food was usually not hot. It was also very difficult to make reservations for the two à la carts that required it, indicating they were full a car first day of arrival all through the week. After being tenacious, I was able to get one for my family.. Also, I found it really frustrating in our ability to find chairs and lounges at the beach and in the pool area, unless you woke up very early, like around 7 AM.

Although the rooms we kept fairly clean there was 1 giant cockroach about 1inch long in our shower, the pool needed allot of attention, dirty pool, entertainment was 3 out of 10. At the beach, the Coati animals were everywhere making it impossible to sit and eat peacefully, we always had to stand and eat, some were somewhat aggressive and would not hesitate totale your food right out of your plate. At checkout staff refused to honor our hotel certificates.We will not be returning to this resort. There are many others in the area for less money, and better quality food, entertainment and cleanliness.
