The hotel is beautiful and spacious. Lots of room at the pool and beach so it doesnt feel crowded. Restaurants and buffet were all clean and had a lot of excellent options. Very relaxing and staff was friendly and helpful.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Barceló Maya! The activities staff—Fernanda, Maria, Fatima, Ireli, and Irving—went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable with their boundless energy and enthusiasm. From Latin dancing to Zumba and aerobics, every activity was engaging and so much fun! The food was simply outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options to satisfy every taste—there was truly something for everyone. And the beach and pools? Breathtaking! Crystal-clear waters, soft, powdery sand, and impeccably maintained pools created the ultimate tropical escape. I can’t recommend this resort enough for anyone seeking a perfect blend of relaxation and liveliness. An easy 10/10 experience!

We spent four days at Barcelo Maya Riviera. The resort has an upscale feel to it, it’s clean, and is absolutely stunning. The staff goes above and beyond to test their guests with a 5 star experience. We will certainly be back. The facilities at the other Barcelo resorts are accessible to you, but to be honest, we preferred staying at the AO as the restaurants were better and the resort was quieter. We loved our stay here.

Staff was attentive and friendly. Room was immaculate and very comfortable bed. Food was 5 star except for Italian restaurant which lacked service and cold food. Will definitely be back to AO and switching from our usual at the Maya Beach.

We have been going to Riviera Maya for over 30 years and of all the resorts we stayed at this is our favorite. We would have given it 5 stars if it was not for only one negative (at least for us), the music. Poor choice of music (techno crap most of the time) and VERY LOUD during the day and evening until 11PM. It will not stop us from going back but we will definitely ask for a garden view room next time to hopefully not have to listen to that loud music when trying to sleep at night. Again, that is the only negative as everything else is fantastic so if you don't mind techno loud music, you will love this place.

The property was beautiful, but the food was very bland. The best meal was at the French restaurant. It was also hard to get a drink after 2 a.m. since all the bars were closed, and room service could not deliver liquor. Also, room service took over 2 hours to deliver our food.
