We loved our stay at RIU palace , the close proximity to 5th avenue and the other and the other RIU resorts. Breakfast was our best relaxing meal, we loved the Japanese restaurant evening buffet.

All the staff were great, even the yard and maintenance workers were helpful. enjoyed being able to visit and have lunch at sister resorts next to property.we even decided to stay on resort and not do any excursions to enjoy the facility.

the "beachfront" room was not beachfront. it was not in view of the beach. There was a thick swamp between the room and the "beach". which was 20 feet deep and rocky and dirty... many of the restaurants were closed. there was construction. You had to walk for minimum quarter mile to get to the restaurants. down unlit trails and roads. We had to check out after the first night and move to another hotel. I was told there were no refunds, but there was no way we could stay. dont go here. there are so many really good properties in this area. Move on.

Staff are very nice. Room felt very clean! Service was prompt. Food options were plentiful. Food quality was very average. Nothing great, but nothing horrible. Didn't make us sick so that's a plus. About an hr ride from Cancun airport. Resort is in a gated community which is nice because you can leave the resort to walk around and still feel safe.

Property was extremely safe and very very clean. Staff were very professional, friendly, and excellent. The biggest complaint I have and why I will never return is their food. The food looked great but almost every single dish tasted so foreign and strange that so many dishes weren’t even palatable. On top of this, my wife is gluten free and we had called ahead of time to make sure they had gluten free options sufficient enough to not bring her other food to eat, which they reassured us she would be fine. However, the gluten free options are dismal at best. They do not provide nearly enough gluten free options and the ones they do provide are not good at all. All the desserts are so bizarre tasting that, as an American, I never wanted to eat any of it. It’s a beautiful place, but the food being largely unpalatable or just down right bad makes it really hard to want to come back. It also smells very strange every where. As a foreigner it was uncomfortable due to smell and the food being awful!

Me gustaria que el menu en el comedor del desayuno asi como en Chillis almuerzo fuera de mejor calidad. De resto todo estuvo muy bien. Hubo algunas personas que siempre fueron muy atentas como Nancy en el sitio de cafe y barra de bebidas del Lobby, Antonio, Nico y Mendez en los restaurantes. The property was beautiful but the staff had no customer service. The bar closes at 11pm no music and there was nothing to do at the resort.

The property was unique, nice clean. The staff were very rude and did not have nothing for entertainment at all. Everything finished at 10 PM.
