Didn’t like the shower over the bath at all. Very hard to keep water off the floor and very little room.
The menu in the Dining Room was also very average, my partner had the Thai Beef Salad which was very poor. Don’t think that we’ll stay at this place again as there are much better options in the Hunter Valley.
We went there for my birthday weekend and had a great time there with the wine tasting, walking trails, horse rides and just spending a quite relaxed time with the family.
Overall a great experience.
It was amazing peaceful would definitely recommend to my friends and family. Staff are wonderful and very friendly. Segway and winery tour guides were amazing. Food and alcohol was so delicious
Hunter Valley Resort is a really nice little property in the Hunter Valley wine region. It's geared more towards families but we loved the working farm atmosphere with all the animals and more "down to earth" feel of the place.
We stayed in one of the cottages and though they are a bit on the older side, they are very comfortable and good value for money especially compared to some of the more "uppity" wineries in the area.
We really enjoyed that the property has access to a number of nice walking trails you can take directly from your doorstep and we took full advantage of them during our stay with plenty of kangaroos, cows and cockatoos to keep us company along the way.
The 4-Pines restaurant was fantastic with superb food and service.
Everything was lovely except for the loud banging noise at night from the bathroom every 40 mins or so, my partner thought it may be the water pressure
Nice room, very comfy bed, convenient to 4 pines gif dinner. Glad they have eliminated single use plastics in bathrooms.

Disliked: Amenities
Bed too soft and pillows hard. The room was really average with no mini bar service. We had to request maintenance to check our air conditioner as it was not working. This should be checked prior to guests arriving. The place is noisy. Woken early from crying and screaming children next door. Was not a very enjoyable stay.
This was a trip with friends and we had a stay in a Hunter room. The room was comfy with all we needed for an overnight stay. The room was overlooking a grassy area and tennis courts, with a nice private courtyard to sit in and enjoy the view. We used the pool which our kids said was a little cold, but to be expected for the time of year. It was clean with some sunloungers for us to make the most of the great weather. The free session learning about wine making followed by wine tasting was a great touch and the staff member conducting that was very informative and funny. On site there are various activities you can partake in. The farm yard was basic but fabulous and the kids (and us!) loved the friendly animals. We went on a horse trek and the staff could not have been any more helpful, it was stunning scenery and really enjoyable. We'd definitely return.
