Stayed for one night in Sept en route to Vancouver.
Positives: the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I am a female travelling solo and the room had an adjoining door, which didn't make me feel super safe but the front desk confirmed the people on the other side couldn't open it.
The main door had clearly been kicked in multiple times, the handle had to be shoved with my whole body to latch and even then, could be pushed open. It was precarious. You could see outside in a little slit the length of the door.
The highway is right beside the hotel and the soundproofing is terrible. Heard loud trucks all night, even with my personal ear plugs. The soundproofing between rooms is also just so thin.
The bed had the largest imprint in the mattress. It clearly needs to be replaced.
Booked due to cost , ~130 cdn a night. But would absolutely spend more next time I'm passing through Princeton to stay anywhere else.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Hotel needs updating, but the room was very clean, staff are friendly and the area is quiet. Easy access to town and the highway. Price was reasonable.
Since a child I’ve come here when the restaurant was open now I come twice a year or more I feel safe it’s quiet and if you see people around most are really friendly
The property does not look like the promotion picture. The restaurant is closed. The reception was hurried as if the clerk was preoccupied with a visitor in the reception. Many ammenities were "out of order". This facility looks overused and may have been 2 years ago as an ESS facility for evacuees - who may not always respect the priviledge - of the river flood. A little pride in providing an accomodation for those traveling on a budget would be appreciated.
The advertising is outdated for the condition of the property. Our expectations were not met. From the photos in the ads we thought they had a cafe. This property does not represent the name brand. We made our reservations based on the name brand.
We came back to the Sandman because of the staff and friendliness of each person that has worked here…. Julie has been a great help…. She has gone above and beyond with helping to make our stay here wonderful…. We will come back because of her. Thank you Julie!
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable but this property is run down and in need of renovations. Decent customer service. Not alot of amenities if you check in late.

Disliked: Amenities
Hotel is pretty outdated, but very clean and the staff was super friendly.
The place seems to be returning to the earth. Smells of old cigarettes. Seems like the doors have been kicked in a few times. It was affordable and conveniently located on the highway. Try to get an upstairs room on the backside of the hotel facing away from the semi-truck engine brakes coming into town through the night.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We walked into our room and turned the light on between beds and the bulb blew, so no light there. And the toilet kept running
