Unfortunately I was not too happy with my stay. The room had so many problems as soon as I arrived the first day and went on from there. Towards the end of the night I realized things didn't work like the shower drain was clogged, the safe vault did not work, TV remote would not change channels, and the outlets where not working to charge a simple cellphone. I also had my room card stop working the next day and had to return three times to the lobby to try to access my room at least once. I had to walk back and forth with my kids in the heat. I was so upset because it was a long walk as well. This vacation was meant to a birthday vacation and an enjoyable one at that. It did not turn out that way. I was never offered an upgrade either for all the hassle I went through for three days. I had to demand to talk to the manager after having to return three times to gain access to the room! When you go on vacation a room should be ready in every way for the customer paying for it. I had to wait in my room for each person assigned to the vault and door to come and service each problem (The vault issue happened twice as well)! Riu has to do better when it comes to booking rooms for customers that are unfit to have booked in the first place!
