Beautiful hotel in old stock exchange building, very convenient to explore historic Palermo on foot- just off the main pedestrian steet with lots of restaurants. Rooms are spacious and clean. A few items lower my rating- there was no toilet paper in the room on arrival had to ask for them to provide. The room was freezing cold even with air conditioning turned off cold air came through vents - we had to open windows but had to close at night or it would be too noisy. Steer noise in evening but it got quiet by midnight. Also internet was not available in the room even though we made multiple attempts to log in- no signal- had to sit on a chair down the hallway or in lobby to get internet.

A big wonderful old building that was converted from a bank. My gripe is that traveling solo I was given the runt of the litter as rooms go. After complaining a lot - and the strength of the tour I joined - I was given a very nice room and would rank the hotel much higher if they hadn't played games with me to begin with. At the end of the tour, I returned to the hotel for one night and they tried to give me the same unacceptable room (323 or 332). I ended up with an OK room but the shower was so small, one had to squat to pick up shampoo... too small to bend over. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory. Dinner disappointing.

GHPB is a beautiful older hotel centrally located yet quiet. It has a beautiful courtyard with a fountain. The buffet breakfast has meat, cheese, oked fish and you can squeeze your own orange juice. One of my favorite hotels in the eorld.

Staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived . Veronica terrific.. the hotel was great location . Hotel needs to updated . The mattress was something I haven’t felt in almost 30 years . Could feel the coils . But with such a wonderful staff it made up for it . Internet was very slow

There is a surcharge for use of the hotel spa and sauna which is quite expensive per hour. This is unusual for a hotel rated four stars. The swimming pool is not located on the premises but at a sister hotel some distance away, again disappointing for a four star rated hotel.

Excellent property in the heart of Palermo. I stayed here only for 1 night but their room was nice - not very spacious, but good enough for a single occupant. I loved the central area inside the hotel that's partially open to the sky. Nice place to sit and relax. The internet connection is good. Breakfast was good and staff at breakfast were prompt and welcoming. Their reception staff was a bit underprepared and i felt thry should not have asked for my credit card especially if i had slready paid in advance. The girl at the front desk told me in a jocular vein, "This is just for security. What if you run away?". I didnt know whether to laugh it off or to be disappointed. Maybe i should have adjed her, "What if you guys didn't live up to my expectations?" Would you give me a refund! Some silly policies they have which unfortunately makes an otherwise good stay bittersweet.

The night we checked there was no water. The desk manager assured us it would take no more than 15 minutes to resolve because it was due to someone turning the water off. More than 1.5 hours later, water finally flowed and it was absolutely disgusting It was still brown and full of particles the following morning. We were at the hotel fir an entire day before being able to shower. Later we were informed that the problem was in the entire hotel so the time estimate for repair was a total misrepresentation. The front desk staff were rude during the entire stay but the bell staff and restaurant staff were extremely pleasant The location was good for reaching various sights

Perfect hotel, lovely and clean. Rooms amazing, really large and quite. They had a pianist in the lobby to stop and have a drink which was nice. The area of the hotel is perfect walking distance to all attractions but also can get to all the main bus route in a 2 min walk. Streets surrounding hotel is great for nightlife, loads of bars and restaurants but you can't hear it in the hotel which was great.Also lots of secruity as the bank is opposite so there were always people from the army around the area. I felt safe being by myself late at night as it's always a busy area. Only suggestion would be skip the breakfast and go to the bakery round the corner, great coffee and pistachio croissants!

Great classy hotel very conveniently located. The main hall is a beautiful courtyard with a fountain. The service was outstanding. The room was spacious with a full bath. There were a couple of negatives. First, the hallways on our floor were a bit worn and required some updating. Second, there were only 3 English language channels in the TV programming. Otherwise, this was a very nice hotel which guarantees a pleasant stay.

The property was good and location convenient. The WiFi did not work in the room so I had to work in the lobby area. While there I was having a drink and working when the waiter came shouting at me. I tried to explain that I had to check email and make calls and he told me go to go to my room because I could not be drinking a beverage that was not purchased onsite. I told him to charge me for a drink so I could continue working. I have never been spoken to in this manner by hotel staff. Uncalled for and completely unprofessional.
