Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The motel was dated. Generally clean, when reception was manned the lady I spoke with was freindly and helpful. Knowing what I know now would have stayed in Strahan instead of Queenstown.
Very quiet country town, have to drive to get to supermarket or get fuel 5mins down the road. But rooms were spacious and clean staff very friendly. Dinner in the restaurant on premises was amazing. If your lucky enough they do breakfast as well if large group staying at same time. Would go back for sure.
Kelly the co-proprieter of the fold Gold Rush motel was super obliging when we asked for an early check in. Something many motels could learn from. The whole experience only a one night stay was very straight forward from woah to go. With a spacious and comfortable room with adequate power points and good facilities that were clean and in good condition. We had dinner at the restaurant which I also recommend the garlic prawns and a salmon dish were both very nice. Thanks again Kelly for being so accommodating .

Liked: Cleanliness
It suited our needs for the night. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchenette to prepare small meals.
This is a larger than normal unit with basic kitchen items. It is very clean and tidy with a comfortable couch and good size bathroom. There is a good restaurant on site with a mixture of cuisines but a couple of jolly good Thai dishes
This property received excellent reviews and this is why we chose to stay there. We were not disappointed. The room was well designed and most attractive with a high timbered ceiling. Cleaning staff did a great job as everything was sparkling clean. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked. We would choose to stay here should we ever visit Queenstown again.
