Picked this place because it was connected to Mayo. Like the attached unground parking, breakfast was decent but wish it went longer, never used the pool. The one bed in our room was broken so had to sleep at a slant, room/bathroom could be deep cleaned.

It’s an older property, but located very conveniently across from where I needed to be. Loved the restaurant, and service there. Also appreciated the understanding to downgrade rooms to a single bed. Very comfortable bed and many pillows. Loved that!! Shower didn’t have much for pressure, but did get cleaned up. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars overall.

The room was so hot. Mold on the curtain by the heater and on the pillow. Maintenance was very helpful for the shower when we couldn’t figure out how to transition from tub/shower and the staff at the desk were top notch

We stay here whenever we have an appointment at Mayo Clinic. The location is very convenient, with direct access to the Mayo Clinic subway. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There is a restaurant, a coffee shop, and a sandwich shop in the same building. Parking can be difficult, especially if arriving later in the day. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for those who are patients at Mayo Clinic.

Thankful that Kahler Inn has re-instated its free breakfast in the enjoyable breakfast room. Also appreciate its covered parking. This time, we had mold in the sink drain and a curtain which did not close completely. Kahler Inn seems to hover between very good and ?what now. Wondering whether they will find a way to install commodes with higher seating for adults, or add grab bars to all bathrooms. We hope that new owners will continue improving furnishings, but without raising price. Travel to Mayo plus medical bills plus lodging can become a burden. So far, their prices are reasonable. Good for them. We’ll return.

Terrible service, we arrived to check in and they told us that the room was not ready, that they were cleaning it, they left us waiting for more than 45 minutes in the cold. These types of hotels should not be advertised on Hotels.com, they do not meet the minimum requirements for a minimally decent stay. I do not recommend it, better to look for another option.

The beds were not so comfortable, and the heater was over performing when we got in the room. Turned it waaay down and it helped, but still seemed extra warm in there. The noise every time it kicked in woke me up, but I am admittedly a light sleeper. Otherwise the room was clean, and breakfast was pretty good. Nice, clean space to eat, and upbeat Christmas music playing. We like staying here when at the Mayo. It’s close and convenient.

Checkout was noon as posted. We came back to our room at 11am to find a man in there doing some cosmetic caulking on the shower tile. He did not speak a word of English. He showed his phone which had an English message saying something about being an employee there. We even had our do not disturb plackard out. Tried to complain to the front desk… but they were swamped at that time and we couldn’t wait.

The breakfast was very good but the property really needs updating. There was even a start of mold on tile in bathroom. The convenience to the clinic was excellent but not really close to restaurants. They do have kitchenettes so you can bring your own food for simple cooking
