Good base to explore Rome.
Greart place for a base to explore Rome. Clean, helpful. Nice staff. Breakfast has a good selection. Guests include family and school groups, backpackers. Very safe area. Five minutes down the street is a bus stop, which is important for getting around Rome. Once you enter the bus system, you use a stored-value card to move from one bus stop to the next to get to your destination.

The outside facade is a little worn and tired, but enter and you will find a gem of a hotel. Rooms are small but immaculate and look to be newly remodeled. Breakfast area is bright and inviting. Staff is helpful. Beds very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

There is NO AC in this hotel!! The hotel advertises AC but we sweated through our sheets at night. I went downstairs to ask the front desk for help with the heat in our room and was told “no”. We arrived to find 1 queen bed that took up the whole room. When we pointed out we asked for 2 beds for my teenage son and I we were told the room would be too small for 2 beds. The window in the bathroom was suck open. I washed my hair with bath soap as no shampoo was provided (we pd almost $300 for 1 night- it’s not like a hostel but that’s how it felt.) Both sides of the hotel have gas stations and the blue roof of the gas station would have kept us awake had the heat not done so. The only walkable restaurant was a seafood place which was disgusting! This place was a coffin with slow WiFi. Do not recommend.

Safe and elegant
The area seemed a little rough but a we were able to walk over a couple streets to find the sidewalk cafes. It was close enough to the train station, and walkable to Vatican City. Inside I felt elegance, safe and secure.

Very clean
This hotel has a dated lobby but the breakfast room and rooms are updated and very clean, We stayed here for 2 nights abeds are very comfortable, the only downside is it's at the side of a fuel station so if you like you patio door open it's rather noisy, but as it's a city so no time to sit around on the balcony. The Vatican is about 15 minutes walk but if you can do steps on the side street you can do it in half that time, taxi on tap within 2 minutes if asked at reception, very friendly and helpful staff , breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again.
