Very nice little hotel. Walking to the local market. Owner is very sweet!

We had stayed here before, and were returning because it is a good value and not far from the airport. Now it has enhanced I’d beautiful grounds and opened a nice restaurant and beer garden area. We will return!

The host was more than accommodating throughout the booking, arrival and even allowing us late checkout time, which we needed because of a tour at the nearby Carara National Park. The room was beautiful with an amazing ocean view, clean and convenient with a kitchenette. We saw macaws fly by! Loved everything about Akua!

Very nice

We booked this hotel last minute as our reservation was cancedue to double booking and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as this hotel even though a bit expensive than other one was far better. Our room was huge. 2 double beds and 1 twin bed. Big almirah and a fridge. No microwave. 24 hour front desk. We only stayed for the night as we had pretty early morning flight. They have free parking but its 5 minutes walk to the parking lot. You could park in front of hotel to load and unload. The lady at front desk was nice. The day we were there, they had a scheduled shuttle at 4am for guests. Not sure if there was extra charge for it or if it even runs every day. We had to leave earlier so we did not used it. Make sure to have bug spray as there were few mosquitoes when lights were on in the room.
