Once you've hit the tarmac at Haneda Airport and plucked your bags from the conveyor belt, Sayama is a drive of 50 kilometres to the northwest. From central Saitama, it's 20 kilometres west.

It's difficult to choose the best attractions, but Sayama Ski Area and Akebono Children's Forest Park are a couple you won't want to miss.
