NOT 4 STAR property. Avoid at all costs

This hotel was listed as a 4 star property, but it wasn’t close to 4 stars. Very disappointed with the stay. The rooms were engineered to maximize space, like prison cells. The ceilings were low, the bathroom was situated in the closet space. The windows do not open and the windows looked like prison windows.

人種(国籍)差別するホテル

こちらのチェックイン時に、明確な国籍差別をされました。日本において日本のホテルが日本人を差別。 チェックイン時間が14時からでしたが、1時間ほど早く着きフロントへ行くもやはり14時から受付開始との事。1時間ほどロビーで時間を潰そうと思い携帯などをいじりながらフロントの様子を見ていると、後から来た外国人旅行者はどんどんとチェックインしているではないですか。 そこで何故私はダメなのか、フロントの方へ聞いたところ「海外のパスポートを持っていればチェックイン出来る。日本人は14時から」との事。当然憤慨しますが、そこに日本人スタッフは居なく、話にすらならない。最終的に14時まで待ちました。 その夜に部屋の電話が鳴り、上役の方から謝罪があったが、そこで確認したことは「日本人に対して差別をしている」と、いう事実。「そう言われても仕方ない」と認めてらっしゃいました。 新宿ワシントンホテルは人種(国籍)差別するホテルです。

A convenient spot for good transport links and Shinjuku. Very small hotel rooms. The standard double room is too small for two people. The bathroom is also very small. Almost like being on a ship. Overall clean but our room was a little dusty.

Very conveniently located and very new! Staff very friendly. Only downside is that they have very few washing machines and dryers and the dryers are very very slow! Minor thing to note if you are planning on refreshing your clothes. Other than that, perfect, would stay there again.

extremely limited hotel and room amenities, very basic tv, unusually firm bed that felt more like a stone slab, pillows the same. Area around the hotel is not what you'd expect out of booking in Shinjuku, area was very quiet but fairly distant from the station and really any of the more interesting parts of Shinjuku. Breakfast buffet is not complimentary and fairly limited compared to similar ones at other hotels and since there aren't many options surrounding the hotel, it was jam packed with people at all hours of operation with lengthy lines just to get in. Long story short, advertised as a 4 star hotel but what felt like motel level amenities, tiny rooms, incredibly uncomfortable beds. Staff was nice though.
