The Met is my favourite place to stay while in Ikebukuro. Very reasonably priced, and mere minutes away from the train station. Lots of great restaurants nearby, too.

I was expecting tokyo hotels to have small rooms but our double room was too small for a even a single person. The bed touched two of the walls and there was only about one meter gap between the other two walls. It was very clostrphobic and uncomfortable. The hotel location is excellent being next to Ikabukro metro station. As everywhere in Japan very clean and excellent service.

The staff was very helpful. Especially Guest Relations spoke English. It helps foreigners navigate. Har for us when there is a language barrier. Also suggestion, if trying to accommodate foreign busy, please have English TV channels other than CNN, as I am on vacation and want to relax not stress about the world. By asking your GS we were able to have a very nice dinner, since we had no clue as to where to go.

Location was great!

We only spent one night here as we were in our way back from Osaka heading to Canada. But the service was fantastic! The hotel staff were all so pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean. The hotel itself is a bit outdated. We booked the superior queen room and it was quite small and had an odd layout. It made it difficult for the two of us to manoeuvre around each other and our bags. Location was great! For us, the best part about this hotel was the airport limousine bus which picked us up right out front and took us straight to Narita Airport.

Although about 30 minutes from central Tokyo the hotel is still very convenient. Ikebukuro Station has various train and subway options making it easy to get to Shinjuku and other major hubs. The hotel was clean, safe and quiet and the staff is helpful and professional. We were upgraded to a spacious room on the 22nd floor and we were very pleased with our accommodations. We also liked having the airport limousine bus stop at the hotel. Makes getting from and to the airport very easy. Thank you for a great stay.
