Excellent location with Ikebukuro station across the street. Shopping, convenience stores, and excellent dining options were all nearby. Staff was professional, most helpful, and welcoming. Highly recommend the breakfast add-on option. My only complaint is that the rooms and hallways smelled somewhat of stale cigarette smoke. Although the floor was non-smoking, the smell suggested that has not always been the case. This was not a big enough issue for me to prevent me from staying here in future. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is my second time staying here within a year span. Ikebukuro is the new trend spot in Tokyo. The service and rooms are great. Very close to the JR train station (Yamanote) line - Metropolitan Exit (but closes at 11 PM). The best part is the shuttle that goes from this hotel to Narita airport if you need to fly out from Narita. There is also shuttles to Haneda as well.

I had a great time here! The location is very convenient and the staff were accommodating. The laundry room was very convenient with a connection to your tv to monitor the status of the machines.

10 day vacation stay with a group of friends. Room was very clean and comfortable and had an excellent view (higher floor). Not recently remodeled, so some of the furniture seemed a bit worn. My friends had rooms that appeared recently remodeled. But it was perfectly acceptable and very clean. Bed was very comfortable as were the pajamas provided. Excellent staff and service. Breakfast buffet was very delicious and varied. Location was very convenient to transportation, shopping, and dining.

Hotel room had queen bed, room furniture was a bit dated but in a good condition. Hotel location was 3 min walk to Ikebukuro train station close to Tobu & Seibu shopping department stores and Ikebukuro shopping streets. Sunshine City is about 15 min walk via Ikebukuro train station. A convenient service is hotel has the airport limousine bus to both Haneda & Narita airports.
