it was ok but bit dirty and smelly on entrance,lounge and dinner hall could do with updating,the lights in rooms dont give off alot of light because of the lampshades and the shades themselves were full of dust ,not very good mattress woke up with bad back

Ideal location for spa and friendly staff
The hotel was going through some restoration… the reception did apoloyfod the scaffolding all the way around as it was part requirement to have new windows…. it didn’t really bother us…. it was good that they had just done all the painting in the rooms many other visitors said they were glad to see it but they had left a lot of the old fixtures & fittings the shower curtain & bathroom flooring was very stained if you renovate you should follow it through with new accessories??

Some areas could do with a little TLC (ie paint finishes and stains) but beyond that, it was spotless. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was great and good prices. The hotel was quiet, even with a bar downstairs. I stayed with my granddaughter on the 3rd floor. Twin room small but adequate. Easy walk to train station and down to South Bay. We will be going again!
