To reach Scottdale from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, hail a taxi and travel northeast for 25 kilometres. From the centre of Atlanta, it's 13 kilometres to the east.

Scottdale is heaven on earth for sightseers. A good portion of the city's best attractions are strewn near this appealing neighbourhood, including the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum and the Emory University. Don't forget to put Northlake Mall and the Fernbank Science Center on your list as well. While you're in town, consider visiting other neighbourhoods to experience more of what Atlanta offers. Clarkston and Belvedere are some great areas that aren't too far away.

Among the first Atlanta recommendations of any guidebook will have to be Centennial Olympic Park. So what's the hold up? This famed attraction is only 0.5 kilometres from the downtown area.
