Cheap Hotels near Skagway (SGY) Airport

Nice old house. Built in 1902 if I remember correctly. Very nice lady at the front desk. Easy and painless. If I ever make back to Skagway, I would not hesitate to stay there.

The Westmark/Holland America hotel. The front desk people were very helpful & accomodating. The room with 2 Queen beds is small & feels a bit tight. There is no coffee, microwave or refrig in the room & no free breakfast. The bathrooms have been updated but there are no towel bars to hang wet towels. Crisp white sheets. They will only clean your room when requested but will happily provide extra towels if requested. We were on the street-level floor & our room faced the back of the hotel. We had a mountain view-hard not to have one in Skagway, but it was also faced where all the deliveries and trash pickup happened, so it was a noisey especially trash pick up early morning. Guest laundry was reasonable. 1.50 for wash, 1.00 for 45 minute dryer. 2 of each with ironing board & iron. Front desk happy to provide change. Hotel was right in town so easy walking to all stores, White Pass rail and even the docks if you don’t have much to lug, but hotel shuttle is quick and convenient- again accomodating. Hotel restaurant had a nice atmosphere, good service and food was good. All a la carte menu so a bit pricey. Main course dishes are ok portion, not large, and vegetable dish is enough for 2 people. There was a small refrigerator in the lobby with sandwiches, packaged fruit and vegetable, yogurt, snacks, hard-boiled eggs, etc. for purchase. No in-room internet service. Had to go to main lobby for signal. We would stay there again, but ask for a different room location.

Historic place to stay in around Ft Seward. Quiet area, beautiful views and walkable to many shops and eat places in town. Good bed and great towels!

We had a wonderful stay at the house, and appreciated the decor, amenities, cleanliness, and location. There were so many thoughtful details that added to our comfort and enjoyment. In addition, the host's communication was excellent, and contributed greatly to our experience.

The house is nondescript from the outside, but beautiful, clean, quaint and very comfortable on the inside. The owners were helpful and made sure everything was in order. Overall it was a great experience.

This location was set in a truly beautiful area. If you are lucky enough to stay in a lake facing room you will have a great view in the morning. For those coming off the ferry the lodging is very close and accessible from the ferry and to the town. A very comfortable place to stay in a beautiful location
