The beauty of the atmosphere and surroundings, the old style homey feel, nice that they are offering breakfast now too. Bonus Spa and Bicycle rentals , electric and regular love this. They are very accomodating and its pet friendly!

We'll be back!
This is a great property, well-run in a fantastic area. We plugged the car in, and pretty much walked everywhere in town for two days of amazing food, great beer and lovely scenery. The hotel staff was great, the environment is a great mix of luxe and chill, even the breakfast buffet was great! I'm definitely getting tired of the Dog thing, why there are dogs barking in a nice hotel is beyond my understanding, but....

Very nice hotel, somewhat dated, but very quaint. Beautiful location, beautiful grounds. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We only stayed one night, but there were lots of activities that were available, if you stay longer. We did not eat any meals there, so cannot comment on the food.

This is a grand old hotel. We very much enjoyed the historic beauty of the place. The King bed deluxe room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Ate at Braxton dining room one evening. Food was very good. Enjoyed drinks by the outdoor fire pits and the big comfortable wingbacks by one of the several fireplaces. We really liked this place but the service level was inattentive for a Hotel of this quality. This was an issue we experienced throughout the hotel.
