Tenterfield well priced Gem
Very nice and clean, looks recently refurbished, old hotel. A shared self serve kitchen facility for snacks, hot drinks and breakfast was a pleasant surprise when only expecting a bed. Comfortable bed. A restaurant over the road. Pub downstairs with wood fires.

Clean and comfy,
The Motel rooms out back have been renovated. Clean & comfy. Had air con for the cold night and some free nibbles & coffee. There was no chef for dinner which was a surprise but there are plenty of other good places in town within a short walking distance.

Really enjoyed my stay. Very simple accommodation, cheap and clean. I had the whole pub to myself which was awesome. The starter breakfast was unexpectedll included. Yoghurt, fruit, cereals, muffins (and chocolate treats).

We got what we paid for, so really can't complain. Stayed in one of the Hotel rooms (not the Motel) - clean room but no bathroom (shared bathroom) and no room/bathroom heating which in winter is a little chilly.

Old building with lots of character
You get what you pay for here . Although the low price the bed was very comfortable and the sheets where clean. Breakfast was included (cereal, fruit and yogurt). We stayed here for the bald rock walk and a few others, so we didn't want to spend a lot on a room that we would only sleep in. This place was perfect, next time I want to drink a few beers in the pub as I didn't get the chance to on this trip. Sleeping above a pub is pretty cool. Good location to walk the town. Easy going staff. Old pub hotel with loads of character . Wouldn't recommend this place for snobs or boring people.

Country town experience to remember
Once again we stayed at the Tenterfield Royal Hotel / Motel. Great to be able to stay in a comfortable bed in a clean room and have the benefit of being able to enjoy the convenience of the pub downstairs for a beer in the afternoon.

Nice hotel
We stayed in one of the rooms out the back of the hotel and the rooms were great value for money. Very clean modern and comfortable.

Great place to rest your head
We were running late getting to the hotel, Courteous staff contacted us via mobile and kindly place the key in a secure place on arrival. We found the key and John approached and welcomed us on arrival... great country hospitality A+++

worth the stay
These rooms are new but kept in immaculate condition by the husband and wife who were a pleasure to deal with. It's a perfect place to stopover for the night and I'd recommend this place. Bedding and pillows were perfect.

it's quite despite being a hotel but no faculties to makr a cuppa had to ask for a kettle no place to cook or heat food.

When I booked, it clearly did not discribe the room as, with shared bathroom. If this hotel will exist in the future, than the management has do do some serious renovation work. It is very disapointing to see a historical hotel like the Tenterfield Royal Hotel located in such a nice place to see so run down. Than again, we live in Australia where a 5 Starr Hotel offers no more than a 2 Star Hotel in Asia. Wake up Australia

A Wonderful Heritage Hotel with Charm & Comfy Beds
The motel managers were very accommodating and helpful. the room was freshly painted tidy clean with brand new very comfy beds. Although it was a shared bathroom - No one else was there - so my friend and I had our own big bathrooms in the morning that you can lock while you use with lovely showers and a big bathtub. A Great Price. A Great Staff. A fantastic Sleep- Loved It!

A hidden gem
The area was really quite, motel rooms fully renovated very comfortable. Only thing dinning room is closed Sunday and Monday. But found a great pub meal within a block of our accommodation. Great value for money

Very easy to find, friendly staff
It's an old hotel, more charm, there were stairs to my room and I suggest taking a smaller case for overnight. The need for cheaper room to rest before driving further was ideal.

Despite a call confirming my arrival time the place was locked up. Had to search for the manager.Room in hotel is very basic and a bit tired.lAlso lucky I didnt bring my cat to swing around. Having said that, staff were friendlly and the price great. Ideal for a quick overnignt stop
