It's situated 310 kilometres to the southwest of the country's capital, Stockholm.

There is a variety of pleasant natural sights close to Travad. Why not venture 35 kilometres to Lake Hornborga Nature Reserve? Alternatively, enjoy the natural beauty of Brobacka Nature Reserve, 45 kilometres away.

Nothing beats racing out of bed and doing your first run of the day at Isaberg Ski Resort. After mastering all the runs there, load up your skis and hone your skills at Amals Ski Center.

Herrljunga Church and Hudene Church are close to the middle of Herrljunga, 17 kilometres to the south. Need more? Skara, 25 kilometres to the northeast of Travad, is known for Skara Cathedral and the Skara Railway Museum.

Lidkoping is located 30 kilometres away from Travad and is a vital part of the local area. Nearby attractions include St. Nicholas Church, the Rorstrand Museum and Limtorget Square. Need more? The Vanern Museum and Rörstrand Fabriksbod are also within easy reach.

Eating is one of life's biggest pleasures, and since you're here, you probably think travel is too. Combine your love of both by heading out and tasting the local food and drink at a few of the restaurants, cafés and bars in town.

A typical meal here often includes lingonberries and strawberries, two common ingredients for which the local area is known for serving up.

Don't pass up the opportunity to tuck into janssons frestelse (potato and anchovy casserole) or raggmunk (potato pancake with pork and lingonberries). These traditional meals come highly recommended by the locals.

If you're travelling by plane, it's a wise idea to decide a route to the terminal in advance. From the middle of Travad, you'll need to travel about 75 kilometres southwest to Landvetter Airport (GOT), the nearest airport.
