Location: This hotel is located right behind the Monkey
Forest, so it’s away the main town. For us, it was the perfect, quiet getaway. Our room overlooked some rice paddy fields. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service into the main area of town, which we also found to be very convenient.
Service: For a much smaller hotel, they provided excellent customer service. The girls at the reception desk spoke excellent English and helped us make reservations for tours.
Daily Breakfast Buffet: The hotel provides an adequate breakfast buffet that includes a variety of western and local options. If you’re looking for bacon or sausage, ask the staff directly and they’ll make a special serving just for you.
Laundry: On our last full day, I dropped off our laundry at the front desk before 8 a.m. The receptionist said they would send it out for service, and it would be delivered to our room between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. that evening, but it wasn't. After several phone calls to the front desk, then waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes, we finally got our laundry at around 11:30 p.m. My husband refused to pay for the service after all of the trouble we experienced. The receptionist was shocked, but she didn’t argue back.
In-room safe: Unfortunately, this hotel does not provide safes inside of their rooms, but they do provide safety deposit boxes at the front desk which is where we stored our passports.
