valparaiso stay
it was better than i expected. very clean ! far enough away from the highway , so it was nice and quiet . I definitely recommend this place. and may i say it was very reasonable priced .

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was just okay. A/C was super loud. Bed was uncomfortable. I found an m&ms wrapper behind the nightstand. Didn't use the shower so not sure about that. Location was great... quiet but close to all sorts of things. A decent place to stay if you're just looking for an okay's night sleep.

Had the room with the jacuzzi in it. My wife and I were a bit skeptical about the place it looked kinda run downish but it was actually decent. The room was clean but walls just like most were kinda thin. But the thing I really didn’t like at all was the lack of breakfast food. Not saying it had to be extravagant but just fruit granola and yogurt was really a bit of a letdown. The staff was present but not very inviting but I know a lot of people prefer that.

It was nice and convenient if you are visiting Chestertown or Valparaiso, however don’t expect any amenities or cleanliness. Staff was nice but can’t do much about lack of proper or working facilities.

Security Concerns and Safety Issues
As a budget hotel I didn’t expect to much but for the average nightly fee I had expected the property was going to be safe, clean, and no frills. The scary part of the trip was the lack of safety features. All of the overhead lights in the parking lot, with exception of 1 by main entrance, were out. The side entrance was never locked and could be accessed without a key. On the last morning two hotel employees, one sounding like a supervisor were arguing in hallway about sheets at 8 am. As a solo female traveler I like economy motels where I feel safe and this is not it.
