Great location near to White House etc and directly above Farragut West metro station. Friendly welcome at reception and I appreciated being able to check in early. My “Deluxe” room wasn’t large, but was well laid out. It’s a double room but ideal for one as there’s only one armchair, one coffee pod etc. The miniature bathroom had tired decor but a great shower and lovely toiletries. Very effective, quiet and easy to use AC (many hotels could learn from this!). Good blackout blind but a bit of traffic noise.

Our experience at the Club Quarters in Washington DC was disappointing in pretty much every way possible. The open, airy room portrayed on Expedia for the room type I selected proved to be a dingy cramped room, in no way matching the pictures. We immediately went down to the front desk to complain, but we were told that the room we booked was the room we got and the fault for misrepresenting the room was Expedia's. Over dinner, I booked another room elsewhere. Returning to the Club Quarters, we grabbed our bags and left. On the way out we stopped at the front desk, told the staff that we were not staying, returned the key cards and verified that the $100 "incidentals charge"would be refunded. When reaching out to Expedia to complain, I discovered that room pictures are provided by the hotel (of course!) and that the hotel would not refund our money because "we spent the night in the room." So, take one worn-out hotel that falsely represents the room appearance, add in some somewhat unfriendly front desk staff and then compound the issue with lies and you get a less than favorable review. My wife and I have stayed at some fairly low-end lodgings, but this experience at the Club Quarters set a new low for us *before* the lies. Add in the lies and I am writing a very rare bad review. I suggest you avoid this hotel.
