I love this hotel! I think it is my new go-to. Everything is scaled to fit in a small space, and it is very elegant. Eco-friendly carpet, opt-in only to housekeeping, and more. A fantastic value.

The hotel staff was polite and patient with answering questions about parking and checking in. We could hear other hotel quests in the middle of the night in a drunken quarrel in the hallway. It went on for a bit so I wonder if there’s no security actually watching the cameras. The rooftop was closed which was disappointing. The pizza was great but we had no idea that you can’t sit at the restaurant to eat if you order from the “take out side”. That made us feel uncomfortable and awkward that we had to leave even though we ordered food from the hotel restaurant. It should have been made known to us beforehand. The parking lot situation was a bit inconvenient but it was a short walk. All in all, the decor was beautiful and our room was clean with a comfortable bed.

Overall a good experience. Walking distance to the Lincoln Memorial, etc. Walkable to a nice food court as well as Whole Foods. Friendly staff. The only negative was the noise from facing the university. Would recommend a room facing away from the university if we returned.

Wonderful stay! Easy for pets, I had both of my dogs and the stay was seamless. Would definitely stay here again in the future! Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful, they gave great recommendations for restaurants and bars in the area.

While I really like the Hive, MAN do they need to work on the "breakfast" service. I understand having a limited menu (4 items) but when you are out of half of them that is crazy poor planning.

Clean and Cool Small Hotel for a Weekend Trip
Room was clean and fine. Front desk was wonderful and super helpful. I love staying at these boutique hotels for that reason. Great location as well! Our only negative notes are that there is no top sheet, which just seems a little unhygienic, and the lock on the conjoined room was a tiny little slide lock. As a woman, I would have asked for another room for safety reasons had i been by myself. My husband just put our luggage in front of the door and called it a day. Last note, Hotels.com lists the king room as 200 sq ft. It was definitely smaller than that. Not sure if that is the property itself or hotels.com.

Great location for the price!
Hotel Hive was a great hotel very close to everywhere you want to be in Washington DC. I could easily walk to the Lincoln Memorial (0.3 miles) as well as the Kennedy Center. The rooftop bar was an added bonus!
