Don’t bother staying.
What an awful experience. Very old property shocking restaurant menu, so bad I didn’t eat an evening meal there and didn’t chance the breakfast. Great little pub up the road called the Chieftain which was the only highlight of this experience .

Decent hotel
A decent basic hotel, we were placed in the outside building which was quaint. Fire stick in the TV which was good in the eve. Comfy bed and decent shower. Breakfast buffet was a tad dire (selection of foods and really bad coffee) but they do make eggs to order which was good, I'd give it a miss and eat in Welwyn for the same cost. Location is very close to Welwyn, pub about 2 mins walk away does decent food.
