The Space:
Piccolino by Tiny Away sits in the tranquil riverside community of Wolgan Valley, just 2 hour drive away from Sydney, with expansive escarpment views. Here, you can relax and enjoy the fire pit's warmth on chilly nights.
This is the perfect destination for holiday homes, with nearby attractions like Wollemi National Park, Glow Worm Tunnel, and the 7 Valleys in Lithgow.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with a filtered drinking water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette including a microwave and portable induction stove, cooking equipment, a BBQ, and bathroom facilities.
These amenities include a waterless, eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot water), with water sourced from our rainwater tanks. We utilize natural resources and processes to ensure we have a minimal impact on the environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that this is a self-catered accommodation, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner are not available for purchase. However, we do provide essentials like ground coffee, organic tea, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
As an added note, our farm stay is currently limited, we highly recommend purchasing groceries in Lithgow or Wallerawang before your arrival. Thank you!
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surrounding areas, including the bushwalk and mountain bike trails in the area.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:
With the recent landslide last November 2022, the usual road into the Wolgan Valley via the Wolgan Gap has closed permanently. There is limited road access directly to and from the property. A temporary access road has been constructed, which is very steep and is currently restricted to residents 4WD vehicles only at limited times of day.
Please note that the access road is continually being upgraded, and these access conditions are continually being relaxed to accommodate better access into the Valley as the road conditions improve. The below conditions may change by the time of your stay. We will keep you informed as your booking approaches.
For guests booked at Piccolino, we have arranged for secure parking for your vehicle outside of the Valley in nearby Lidsdale. Your land host will contact you prior to your arrival to arrange to transfer you to and from your accommodation using their own 4WD vehicle. Transfer fees to the property are included in your cleaning fee. Due to current access availability, check-in time is between 3 PM to 6 PM. Any late arrivals will incur an additional fee.
Should you wish to explore other townships during your stay, you may arrange transfer directly with your land host which will incur an additional fee which can be paid on site. Please note that this is a self-catered retreat with no opportunities to purchase food. With access in and out of the Valley limited at the moment, we strongly recommend that you purchase groceries in Lithgow or Wallerawang before you arrive

- Gardens of Stone National Park feature stunning rock pagodas, cliff lookouts, and breathtaking scenic views.
- Maiyingu Marragu is an indigenous site of importance to the area, featuring ancient rock art and towering pagodas.
- Hassans Walls lookout is one of the most panoramic vantage points on the Blue Mountains plateau.
- Blue Mountains National Park is a protected area with amazing rock formations, clifftop lookouts, and breathtaking hazy blue horizons.

Other Things to Note:
- Wifi and mobile reception is unavailable
- The transfer fees to the property are included in the cleaning fee. Additional transfer will incur an additional fee which can be paid on site.
- Transportation service to explore other townships is not available from Friday to Sunday unless during emergencies. Kindly purchase your groceries before you arrive.
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Please help us keep the house clean by cleaning up after yourselves
- We are completely surrounded by National Park, so pets are not allowed on the property
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- A small selection of firewood and firelighters are provided free of charge for use in the fire pit. Guests may collect kindling and small pieces of fallen timber on the ground. Guests are welcome to bring their own firewood if they plan to use the fire pit extensively. Please do not cut any trees or branches
Important note:
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
- Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects and animals during your stay. We have insect screens to prevent insects from coming into the tiny house. We recommend guests ensure they keep the main door closed.
