This property was an ideal location for our trip to Yellowknife to view the Northern Lights. Located on the edge of downtown, we were able to easily walk to restaurants and coffee. Our room was modern and quiet, with a lovely view out over snow-covered trees. We noticed many organized groups also booked this location, meaning there were times when 20-25 heavily-dressed tourists were assembling in the lobby, waiting for their tour guide to arrive. One observation: during our visit the restaurant always seemed under-staffed. Even with very few tables filled we still waited for someone to seat us, and service was unattentive. We eventually learned to eat at one of the quiet booths located in the bar--where the service was attentive and the menu the same as in the restaurant.

My suite was dirty and stinky when I checked in. Reprted to front desk and had to leave asap for a hockey game. Returned the evening and front desk stated my room was redone and sprayed with freshner bit in fact it wasn't! Front desk came to my room reviewed the issues and agreeing it wasnt clean in which i was moved to another suite which was a little better. Come bedtime the pullout couch was horrible not even worth pulling out had no sheets blankets or pillows. I was already sleeping and my son just slept on the couch with his jacket. The next day i called front desk for sheets blankets and pillows. Housekeeping brought 1 blanket, 1 pillow and 1 extra pillow case!! This was the worst stay ever and i have stayed here many times before!!

Location at 1 corner of town, it's safe and quiet. Free airport transfer to and from airport. Room is huge, I had the 1 bedroom, with a working kitchen, microwave, stove, oven and all cookware are available. It's a non smoking hotel, but I see smoking have their own areas near the main door, just outside of the hotel lobby. Staff is very friendly, can approach them for help anytime.

We loved the steam room in this hotel! So nice to have in such cold weather. We also called the front desk for miscellaneous kitchen items and they were always happy to help. The staff made us feel welcome and we are very pleased!

Very Comfortable Bed
We went on an anniversary trip and stayed in Yellowknife for a week at the end of November. We had a blast! This hotel is within walking distance of the majority of downtown, unless you're not a fan of walking. While we were staying here, there was a convention most of the week. This brought the foot traffic within the hotel up significantly. It's already a busy place at certain times of the day from tour shuttles. This was a little off-putting as it caused us to feel like all of our comings and goings were on display with this very large group of people who were not there for tourist things like the rest of us. The main thing I enjoyed about the hotel was the bed. It's very difficult for me to find a hotel bed that is comfortable. I have back and joint issues that make it hard to sleep in the majority of hotel beds. I was impressed. While there were a couple of things that I felt could have been better, they wouldn't keep me from staying again. I felt safe and comfortable.
