If you enjoy meeting the locals while you're travelling, Sagamihara is filled with potential new friends. Around 650,000 people call this city home. Are you landing at Haneda Airport? Throw your bags into a taxi and travel 35 kilometres west to reach Zama. If you're coming from central Sagamihara, you'll be travelling 10 kilometres to the south.

This city is teeming with impressive things to do, and you'll discover many of them near Zama. It's no simple task to pick the top sights, but Vina Walk and the Sochuji Temple are a couple you won't want to miss. After taking a look at those, you'll want to head onwards to Atsugi Central Park and the Sagamihara City Museum. While you're here, think about exploring a few other neighbourhoods to taste more of what Sagamihara offers. Shimo-mizo and Ebina are good recommendations that are within close reach.
